I got back from the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition a week ago today. It is such a creative kick to be around your peers and like-minded people. We get so much energy from each other to go straight home and start producing new artworks. Reality does settle in a little; there are all the little details that need to be taken care of after a week away. Such as; bills, emails, inventory, getting work back to galleries, etc, you get it. Then there are the BIG things like the need/promise to finally tackle my website and get it finished!!! I have spent many hours this past week trying to do just that. It seems that every which way I turn there is another problem or something I do doesn’t show up, or I just don’t like how it is working out. I am working with a WordPress theme and there are limitations to the theme that are really bugging the ex-(never just ex) graphic designer in me. I even looked at starting all over in Quark Xpress today, but I have no clue how long that would take me…

So I am going to soldier on through my current theme and get it as workable as possible. I will be welcoming any feedback, good or bad, as to how easy or hard things seem to be. In the meantime, I will try to remember the energy from South Carolina, and leave you with a serene photo from early one morning at the South Pond.
