A lone wolf watching for the return of pack members, or perhaps he watches the landscape for possible prey. I will leave what he watches for up to the imagination of the viewer. I have sat in Yellowstone early one morning in a chilly fog listening to the songs of the wolves and have watched a pack teach the young ones the strategy of how to hunt buffalos. In the wild they seem mysterious and elusive, yet they create and maintain strong family bonds within their pack. No matter where I encounter wolves, I will sit and watch.
