Description
It used to be that it was quite rare to see a bald eagle here in Connecticut, so I was always thrilled to see them when we traveled to the West. They have made an amazing comeback here in New England. We even have a nesting pair in my little central Connecticut town. The first time I saw one of this pair flying over our property made my breath catch. This particular eagle we saw at one of our favorite local birding spots – Quinnebaug Fish Hatchery in Central Village. No matter how times I see one now, it will never get old, and it will always stop me in my tracks.
